An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that it is a supplement to the two statements issued on 5/5/1442 AH corresponding to 12/20/2020 AD, and on 12/5/1442 AH corresponding to 12/27/2020 AD, regarding the spread of a new mutated type of the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) in a number of countries, and the precautionary measures decided in this regard, and based on what was submitted by the competent health authorities regarding the measures that have been taken.
The Saudi government decided to end the precautionary measures related to the spread of a new mutated type of the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) in a number of countries, regarding the suspension of all international flights for travelers, and entry to the Kingdom through the land and sea ports, which began to work for a week from the date of 5 5/1442 Hijri corresponding to 12/20/2020 AD, and it was extended for another week ending on 5/19/1442 AH corresponding to 1/3/2021 AD, and that was as of (11) in the morning of Sunday 19/5/ 1442 AH corresponding to 1/3/2021 AD, subject to the following:
Precautionary measures related to the spread of a new mutated type of emerging corona virus (Covid 19) in Saudi Arabia:
1- Entry into the Kingdom for non-citizens coming from the United Kingdom and South Africa, and from any other country determined by the Ministry of Health, in which the new mutated type of the emerging corona virus (B. 1, 1, 7) is spread, conditional on the person wishing to spend Entering for a period of no less than (14) days outside the country in which the mutated virus (B. 1, 1, 7) is spread before entering the Kingdom, with a PCR examination after the expiration of this period, proving that it is free from infection with the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) ).
2- Citizens who are allowed to enter humanitarian and essential cases coming from countries where the new mutated type of the emerging corona virus (B. 1, 1, 7) is spread, according to what was referred to in paragraph (1) above, in their homes under Observation for a period of (14) days, with two PCR examinations, the first no more than 48 hours after arrival, and the second before the end of the stone on the thirteenth day.
As for the countries in which cases of the strain (B. 1, 1, 7) have been recorded, those coming from them are quarantined in their homes under surveillance for a period of (7) days, with a PCR examination, before the end of the quarantine period on the sixth day.
With regard to the rest of the countries, the procedures currently followed shall be applied; It is the home quarantine for a period of (7) days, or the home quarantine for a period of (3) days, with a laboratory examination using the (PCR) technology.
