US Department of Justice: More than a thousand Chinese researchers have left America
More than 1,000 Chinese researchers have left the United States under a crackdown on alleged technological theft, John Demers, assistant attorney for national security affairs, said on Wednesday.
William Ivanina, Director of the National Center for Security and Counterintelligence in the United States, said in the same press statement that Chinese agents are already targeting individuals from the next US administration that will be led by President-elect Joe Biden, in addition to "close" to Biden's team.
