The Cairo Film Festival celebrates the Palme d'Or for the film "Stacher" by Sameh Alaa
Today, Wednesday, the Cairo Film Festival, in its 42nd edition, will celebrate director Sameh Alaa, director of the short film "Stacher", which won the Palme d'Or from the Cannes Film Festival.
The opening ceremony of the Cairo Film Festival in its 42nd session is witnessing a special appearance of the star Ashraf Abdel-Baqi, as he presents the opening ceremony by simulating the reality of Corona and the restrictions imposed on the world, while director Yusra Nasrallah presents the centenary of Fellini, while the presenter Maha Al-Sagheer participates in the presentation Honored.
The Cairo Film Festival announced the full list of jury members for competitions and prizes for the 42nd session, which will be held from December 2 to December 10 at the Egyptian Opera House, during which 83 films from 43 countries will be shown, including 20 films in its first international and international shows. The Cairo International Film Festival celebrates Egyptian cinema in its forty-second program, with the participation of 10 films between fictional and recording in the long and short categories, to be one of the largest Egyptian participations in the history of the festival.
In the international competition, three films will participate, in the forefront of which is the documentary "Long Live Captain" directed by Mai Zayed, in its first screening in the Middle East and Africa, and Touch is participating in its production in Germany and Denmark, and its events revolve around "Zabiba", a 14-year-old Alexandrian girl who dreams of being A world champion in weightlifting, with the help of "Captain Ramadan", the champions coach.
