Fearing sudden Trump decisions, the US military declares a state of high alert
The American magazine "Newseuk" reported, Friday, that the US military has entered a state of high alert for fear of decisions that President Donald Trump may make in the remaining days in office.
The newspaper quoted its own sources as saying: "Military commanders responsible for Washington are laying out contingency plans in anticipation of calling up the army during Biden's inauguration."
The sources added, "The planning is taking place without the knowledge of the White House and Trump's allies in the Pentagon, for fear of stopping it."
And last Saturday, the American magazine "Forbes" published a report in which it said that Trump may deploy forces from the US military to cancel the results of the presidential elections that took place last month.
The American newspaper "New York Times" reported that Trump had asked about this possibility raised by the president's former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, with senior officials reportedly having become very concerned because of Trump's escalating interest in eccentric plans during his last days in power.
