A warning about frozen foods .. The reason is a dangerous Chinese virus

More than 50 children from Sichuan Province of China have contracted norovirus, a highly contagious Norwalk virus. It usually occurs between November and April.

Norovirus causes inflammation in the stomach and intestines. Its main symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, muscle pain, headache and fever

Reports confirm that the cause of the spread of the virus is manipulated frozen foods. But China has not detected any infection from the consumption of these foods.

Norovirus spreads from person to person or through contaminated food, and it spreads easily and quickly. The greatest risk of the virus lies in infections of the elderly, young children, pregnant women or those with immune diseases.

One of the problems with norovirus is that there is no medicine to combat it, so the only treatment is to maintain the fluid level in the body to avoid dehydration.

The CDC recommends washing your hands frequently. And wash fruits and vegetables well. Plus well cooked seafood

In November, the Chinese government approved a "comprehensive disinfection plan for imported frozen foods." By the end of that month, it had been applied to more than 1.6 million products weighing nearly 30,000 tons.

Disinfection includes outer containers, containers, and air inside containers, trucks, and ships.
