A reason that prompted Honda to recall 1.79 million cars
The Japanese "Honda Motor" company recalled 1.79 million cars worldwide.
The recall process took place in four separate campaigns, some of which were linked to reports of fires in these cars.
The recall campaign involved 1.4 million cars in the US alone.
The recall includes 268 thousand "CRV" cars, produced between 2002 and 2006, in the United States, and will work to replace the main switches to control the electric windows.
The company confirmed that "no injuries were reported," explaining that "16 fires were reported related to this problem."
