A spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Culture said that Russian federal museums will be closed until January 15th. It is also prohibited to hold exhibitions and cultural, enlightening, entertainment, and other events.

The same imposed restrictions on the number of spectators that could attend simultaneously in theaters, cinemas and ballrooms. According to the aforementioned order, one hall in a theater or cinema must not accommodate a number not exceeding 25% of the total number of spectators. In this context, the famous Russian artist, Valery Meladze, called on Russian artists to stop participating in the entertainment programs broadcast on Russian television on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas in Russia. This is to draw the attention of the Russian society to the problems that the Russian entertainment sector faces after taking precautionary measures related to the Corona virus.
