The government said that websites and social media pages circulated news about the closure of schools and universities in all governorates of the Republic, starting from mid-November, in anticipation of the second wave of the Corona virus, which is incorrect.

According to a statement, the Media Center of the Council of Ministers contacted the Ministries of Education, Technical Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and these reports were denied, and the two ministries confirmed that no decisions were issued in this regard.


The two ministries explained that the study is regular and continuous in all schools and universities naturally, and that there are daily follow-up committees in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population and the Supreme Council of University Hospitals to determine the health status of students in schools and universities nationwide, and they stressed the continuation of applying all precautionary measures by adhering to sterilization and wearing Masks, taking into account the rules of social distancing between students, in the context of the state's keenness to preserve the health and safety of students and all members of the educational system.
