Procedures for obtaining an exemption permit from wearing a mask in Dubai
The Dubai Health Authority, in cooperation with the Dubai Police General Command, has announced that those wishing to not wear the muzzle for health reasons must submit an application to the authority’s medical committee, accompanied by a medical report confirming the health problems that the applicant is exposed to due to wearing the muzzle. The committee considers the request and the reasons according to specific conditions and controls.
The exemption applicant will have to submit his application via the Dubai Police website dxbpermit.gov.ae, and within the permits page, with the entry of the Emirates ID data and attaching the medical certificates supporting the request, as the Dubai General Medical Committee will check the attachments and review the development of the disease and the treatment plan To place a recommendation to grant the exemption or not, and the request will be decided within 5 working days, while the validity of the exemption will be permanent if the situation requires that.
The conditions for exemption from the use of a face mask apply to those with fungal dermatitis cases; Patients with fungal dermatitis and those who suffer from a severe exacerbation of itching, scaling or bleeding while wearing a mask, as well as those who suffer from any allergy to components of the face mask such as Atopic Dermatitis, contact dermatitis, contact urticaria, and herpes infection.
The list of health conditions that meet the conditions also includes cases such as: Chronic Sinusitis, acute uncontrolled cases in which the patient feels suffocated, and patients with uncontrolled asthma.
The authority confirmed that the exemption from wearing a muzzle, although it came to take into account the health conditions of some members of the community, but it calls upon everyone who will obtain the exemption to commit to wearing the muzzle as much as possible, especially in public places, to prevent and protect from Covid-19.
