Jordan's foreign exchange reserves are declining slightly

During the first ten months of this year, the foreign exchange reserves in Jordan decreased slightly, by 0.8% compared to its level at the end of 2019, according to the figures issued by the Central Bank of Jordan.

The figures indicated that the value of foreign exchange reserves of the Kingdom amounted to about 12.06 billion dollars at the end of last October, compared with about 12.17 billion dollars at the end of 2019.

The foreign reserves in Jordan began to be negatively affected since the beginning of 2016, after the slowdown in growth in remittances, tourism income and foreign investment, which are factors that feed the foreign currency reserves in the Kingdom.
