How to clean the cooking filter steps
When you notice a decrease in the performance of your kitchen hood, the reason is not always technical. This device, like any other, needs regular cleaning in order to get rid of grease and dust deposits in its filter. Here is the correct way to perform this task, according to the Tayeb Tabkh website, to restore the quality and performance of your device.
First you need:
Very hot or boiling water
Dish washing soap
Baking soda
Cleaning brush
Tissue paper or a piece of cloth
Steps
Remove the filter from the straw. There should be a special button or easy way to do this step.
Fill your kitchen sink with hot water. And remember that the hotter the water, the more effective you will be. You can boil water with an electric kettle and then pour it into the basin for best results.
Pour some dishwashing liquid and a quarter cup of baking soda into the water. Brush the water until the ingredients are mixed and lather.
Soak the straw filters with the solution for 10 minutes and make sure that the water completely submerges the filter.
After soaking, use a brush to scrub the filter. Add more dishwashing liquid to the brush if needed while cleaning.
Rinse the filter well with water, then dry it with a tissue or a piece of cloth.
Put the filter back on the straw and repeat the process if necessary.
