European stocks rise affected by Corona vaccine
The European stock market rose to its highest level in eight months, after the companies "Pfizer" and "Biontech" announced major progress for their anti-Coronavirus vaccine, according to "Reuters".
The European "STOXX 600" index recorded its best one-day performance since late March, rising nearly 4 percent.
Shares of travel and entertainment companies that were most affected by the Corona pandemic were among the best performing sectors in today's session, and rose seven percent to the highest level in eight months.
Meanwhile, Biontech shares jumped more than 15 percent, pushing the German "DAX" index to close with a gain of five percent.
