Counting the defeat of the national team .. Maaloul apologizes to Syria
The coach of the Syrian national team, Nabil Maaloul, apologized to the Syrian people, after the friendly 1-0 defeat by the Jordanian national team, last Monday in the Emirates.
He said: "We tried to please the Syrian public with a new victory after overcoming the Uzbek national team last Thursday, but the team was affected by the absence of 6 players for injury. We are not looking for justifications, and I am sad about the performance and the result."
He also added, "The players did not deal with the new method, especially the offensive activation and exit with the ball from the back areas, as they used to play from defense to attack directly without going through the middle, and this needs time and friendlies."
While he continued: “The football character was missing at times, due to the participation of a number of young players while they were participating for the first time with the national team, so dread and fear were clear to them.
He indicated that the technical touch was lacking in the absence of important players such as Maher Daaboul and Muhammad Othman, who was distinguished by the process of linking defense and center.
As he explained that "the team needs physical work, as it appeared that they could not play two games in 4 days. The players should be more disciplined with their local teams."
He concluded: "The UAE camp is wonderful and ideal, and I continue with the Qasiyon Eagles."Counting the defeat of the national team .. Maaloul apologizes to Syria
