After the assassination of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhri in Tehran, Khamenei's advisor accuses Israel of pushing the region towards an all-out war
Hossein Dehghan, the military advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, held Israel responsible for the assassination of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in Tehran on Friday.
Dehghan wrote on his Twitter account that "the Israelis, in the last days of the political life of their ally (US President Donald Trump), are seeking to escalate pressure on Iran with the aim of a large-scale war."
He continued, "Our response will be like a thunderbolt on the heads of the murderers of the oppressed martyr, and they will regret what they did."
In another tweet, the advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader described the assassinated scientist as "a martyr who sent terror into the hearts of the enemies," stressing that "the results of his jihad will haunt them like a nightmare."
