Blending past and present in Karoline Lang's Spring/Summer 2023 collection
In her Spring/Summer 2023 collection, designer Karoline Lang presented a collection that combines past and present. To present her new collection, the designer chose the iconic Maison Feau site for the wood industry, in the heart of the French capital, Paris, which was founded in 1875. This place provided woodwork for the most luxurious Parisian hotels in the late 19th century, using the neoclassical style. Under the workshop's exquisite glass ceiling, craftsmen have been able to reproduce the intricate traditions of woodwork. Within the atelier's metal structures, masterpieces of haute couture and wood craftsmanship come together. It is here, and within this exquisite space of ornate detailing, that the haute couture garments shine.
From here, the patterns, motifs, draped fabrics and distinctive cuts emerged in this group, and these details were able to combine the past and the present to celebrate quality through elaborate craftsmanship. In addition, the shiny touch that adorned the fabrics of silk, light cotton and leather was able to embody the spirit of Karoline Lang in her constant search for modernity.
