What is the secret of Prince William not wearing his wedding ring?

According to Marie Claire magazine, Prince William decided when he married Kate Middleton not to wear the wedding ring, as a palace aide explained: "He's not interested in jewelry. He's never worn it. It's all down to his personal preference."
He added that the Duke of Cambridge is not a fan of personal adornments, explaining that he usually only wears his wristwatch, so no one has seen him with his wedding ring since his marriage to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince William was not the first member of the British royal family to choose not to wear his wedding ring, as Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh's grandfather, preceded him.
As for Prince Harry, he broke the royal tradition by wearing the wedding ring that Meghan Markle put on his finger in 2018 at the wedding ceremony, which is made of white gold, while most members of the British royal family prefer it in the traditional gold color.
As for Prince Charles, the Crown Prince of Britain, he wore a ring on his little finger during his marriage to Princess Diana, as the wedding finger remained without a ring as well, but he also did not put a ring on his marriage to Camilla.
