Jaguar will stop producing new models until 2025
It seems that the prestigious British company Jaguar will take a break and stop offering new products until 2025, in order to focus its efforts on developing a new range of electric cars, according to a report from the French newspaper Le Monde.
The move, if true, is part of the automaker's "Reimagine" strategy, announced earlier this year, which aims to bring Jaguar into the market in an attempt to complete both the switch to electrification and a policy change. Satisfied with competing with the likes of Audi, BMW and Mercedes, but willing to enter competitive territory with Bentley.
The report also stated that Jaguar will rely entirely on its current range of vehicles, and will streamline its engine and equipment offerings. Le Monde newspaper indicated that no factories will be closed until then, but the company may have to reduce its workforce, the latter did not comment on that report. So far, Jaguar's strategy is sure to be controversial because of the many decisions that have been made.
