As a result of this attack, he suffered a brain hemorrhage and a fractured skull. Although he opened his eyes a few days ago, he is still in intensive care on a ventilator.  The British player enjoys great support from the residents of the Australian city of Perth, and a Scottish traditional band plays in front of the hospital where he is being treated.
