It seems that Fortnite fans will have to wait a long time before it returns to the iOS App Store, according to a series of emails published by Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney through his official account on Twitter.

Published emails indicate that the various Epic Games apps are unlikely to return to the App Store in the near future, and a letter received by the company on September 21 and sent by lawyers representing Apple, telling them that the latter will not restore its developer account until it expires. The appeals they submitted to the US judiciary, a process that could take years.

"Apple has exercised its right of discretion not to recalculate the Epic Developer Program at this time," the email read, according to The Verge. Furthermore, Apple will not consider any further requests to restore the status quo until the District Court's ruling is final and non-appealable.


And Apple had suspended Epic’s iOS developer account as a result of the company’s deliberate violations of the App Store guidelines in August 2020, which prompted the latter to enter into a court battle against Apple, and the status of Epic applications, including Fortnite, is still unclear until now despite the progress of the case some thing in court.
