Tokyo 2020 shooting .. American William Shanner gives his country a second gold
American William Shanner won the gold medal in the 10m compressed air rifle in shooting Sunday, at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Shanner (20 years) came first, setting an Olympic record with 251.6 points, ahead of China's Lihao Xing (250.9), who took silver, while his compatriot Haoran Yang took bronze by coming third (229.4).
This is the second American gold today, after Chase Kailich won the first medal in the swimming competition in the Olympics after winning the 400m medley.
With these two golds, the number of US medals in Tokyo rose to 8, including 2 silver and 4 bronze.
