Elizabeth Warren "opens fire" on the world's richest man, Jeff Bezos, after he went into space
US Senator Elizabeth Warren has attacked the "richest man in the world", Jeff Bezos' trip to space, asserting that if he could go to space, he could pay more taxes.
Yesterday, Sunday, Elizabeth Warren said in a tweet via her account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “The richest man on Earth can launch himself into space while more than half of the population of America lives on paycheck, while student debt burdens nearly than 43 million people, while childcare costs are forcing millions to become unemployed.
"He can afford to participate so everyone gets a chance," Elizabeth Warren added of Bezos.
Warren previously attacked Jeff Bezos as he launched his space flight last week, tweeting: "Jeff Bezos forgot to thank all the hardworking Americans who already paid taxes to keep this country going while he and Amazon paid nothing."
And "Republica" revealed last month that Jeff Bezos, founder and former CEO of e-commerce site "Amazon", did not pay federal income taxes for at least two years between 2006 and 2018, as did the president of "Tesla" and "SpaceX" Elon. Musk who didn't pay taxes in 2018.
Jeff Bezos is currently ranked by the American "Forbes" magazine as the richest person in the world, with a net worth of $209.2 billion.
On Tuesday, Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin spacecraft successfully completed its first passenger space flight.
The richest guy on Earth can launch himself into space while over half the country lives paycheck to paycheck, nearly 43 million are saddled with student debt, and child care costs force millions out of work. He can afford to pitch in so everyone else gets a chance.
