Google is accused of spying on Android users
Gadgetsnow.com said Google employees have admitted that the company has made it difficult for smartphone users not to share their location data, as it has made this nearly impossible.
This was revealed by documents submitted to the court regarding a lawsuit against Google, filed by the Arizona State Attorney, Mark Bronvitch, in 2020.
According to a report issued by Business Insider, Google employees learned that the company has made it difficult for Android device users to find privacy settings, and pressed companies such as LG and others to hide the privacy settings within the settings menu in the phones so that users could not easily activate the blocking of location tracking.
The lawsuit states that Google continued to track users ’sites even after they turned off various site share settings.
The report stated that the former vice president of Google, Jack Menzel, was overseeing Google Maps and he acknowledged that the only way for a user to prevent Google from knowing the location of his home and work is for him to randomly choose a home address and work for others to deceive the company.
