In terms of regions, data showed that South Asia accounted for (29%) of the total number of visitors to Dubai, then Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States 21%, while Western Europe accounted for about 17% of visitors, and the Middle East region accounted for about 17%. 11%, and Africa's share reached 9%, and the remaining percentages were distributed over the rest of the regions.


At the level of countries, India continued to lead in terms of the number of visitors coming to Dubai, which reached 390 thousand, and Russia ranked second with 144 thousand visitors, while the number of visitors from France reached 62 thousand, and from the United States to 54 thousand visitors.


Sources working in the tourism sector expected the sector to record record numbers in recent months, especially in light of the preparations to host Expo 2020 Dubai.


A member of the Arab Tourism Center, Muhammad Mustafa, said: “There are many factors that support the continued growth of the tourism sector, represented in the expansion of national carriers and the opening of many markets around the world,” indicating that the tourism sector in the UAE during the past months was mainly dependent on tourism.
