El-Selahdar said, "The news circulating and the pictures on the communication sites are fabricated and unfounded."

She added that it has been working on the ship "Aida 4" for 8 years. It is owned by the Maritime Safety Authority, and is managed by the Arab Academy for Maritime Transport.

The Egyptian captain added that "the news circulated by the pioneers of social media is basically a celebration of her coinciding with the Egyptian state's celebration of women this month, and the contributions they made in the field of maritime transport," stressing that they are present in Egypt, during the current time, and not the sea.

Marwa El Selehdar revealed that she will be present at the "International Women's Summit" and that the rumors circulating "will undoubtedly affect her during her speech."

She added: "I am the only girl in this field at the level of Egypt, and whoever publishes this news is trying to negatively affect me, and does not realize the negative impact that it will have on me."
