The Algerian artist, Reem Ghazali, died today in Paris, after suffering illness, her sister announced. And she had announced, in November 2019, that she had cancer of the head, as she underwent surgery in France. Reem became famous through her participation in Star Academy.
And her sister, the artist, # Salma_ Ghazali, announced the news, in a video clip she posted on her "Instagram" page a short while ago, and said: "The Ghazala of Algeria left us. May God have mercy on you, Reem."
Reem Ghazali was born in 1982, and grew up in a musical atmosphere. She participated in the Miss Lux competition in 2004, a local competition, and achieved the title due to her beauty, which attracted attention.
Then she participated in "Star Academy 3" in 2005 and it was a dream come true for her, before she went out in front of her colleague Shaima Hilali, who got a higher vote rate than her.
She worked for the Algerian national station, acted in many Ramadan works, married producer Nabil Bennasser, and participated in the "Boukron" series, which was shown on MBC and an Algerian channel during the month of Ramadan in 2018.
In November 2019, Reem Ghazali underwent an operation to remove a brain tumor in a hospital in France.
