Watch ... Porsche releases video explaining the legendary Spyder 550
The Porsche 550 Spyder was the first Porsche car designed specifically for racing cars from the German leader in automotive speed.
The Porsche 550 Spyder from the "Giant Killer" has gained from its fans and competitors alike, due to its 1.5-liter engine, combined with the total car weight of only 1,213 lbs. .
And recently, a new video clip of the 550 Spyder appeared by Porsche, to highlight five different features that make this car unique.
The star of the car shone the Porsche Porsche 550 Spyder, by winning many competitions, such as third place in the 1954 Carrera Pan American race, and then winning the Targa Florio race two years later.
The car's four-cylinder engine under the hood featured two overhead camshafts per cylinder and produced 110 horsepower, giving the 550 Spyder a top speed of 137 mph.
It is worth noting that Porsche originally manufactured only 90 cars from this historic car, and the legendary Hollywood actor James Dean bought it until his death as his own car.
