United Nations .. a real hunger crisis hit El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Hondaros
New reports issued by the United Nations World Food Program showed,
That about 8 million people in El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Hondaros go hungry this year.
According to the statement issued yesterday, Tuesday, these numbers have quadrupled in these countries over the past two years.
As it increased from 2.2 in 2018 to 8 million this year.
“The economic crisis caused by Covid-19 has already made food on market shelves out of reach of the most vulnerable when they were struck by Hurricanes ETA and Iota,” said Miguel Barreto, WFP Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
This was in reference to the two hurricanes that struck Central America last November.
