Choosing a friend and lifetime companion is a relatively difficult matter, so that luck meets you in someone who understands you and walks with you during the sweet and difficult days, and for the sake of such a friendship, a man decided that his friend would not be a human but a bird, and indeed an unusual friendship between the Turkish man and the swan he saved lasted for decades.

A special kind of relationship .. "Recep Mirzan" has been with a swan for 37 years in western Turkey

And the retired postman "Recep Mirzan" was found on the female swan, which he called "Garib" 37 years ago in the province of Edirne, western Turkey, according to what was published by the newspaper "Daily Mail" British.

Mirzan and a group of friends were taking a short road in their car when they noticed the swan with a broken wing in an empty field. Mirzan immediately took the swan to protect it from predators and kept it in the car until noon that day, and took it to his home.

After healing Garib's broken wing, the swan stayed with Mirzan and also befriended the cats and dogs in the area. Since then, Garib lived with Mirzan and followed her whenever she left her place, and accompanied him while he was doing housework on the farm or on his evening outings.

Mirzan told the Associated Press, "Since I love animals, I told myself that I should take them home instead of leaving them prey to foxes. We got used to each other. We never parted."

"Garib" spends most of her time outside Mirzan's house, never trying to escape from his farm, while Mirzan, 63, a widower without children, says that Jarib was loyal to him and chose to stay by his side. He even considers the swan his child.

It is clear that living with Mirzan has been beneficial to grips, according to UK-based Swan Sanctuary, the average life span of a swan in the wild is 12 years, while in protected environments, they can live up to 30 years.
