Zahi Hawass: Ahmed Karima's talk about making mummies a media bang
Dr. Zahi Hawass, Egyptologist, said that the words of the preacher Ahmed Karima have no religious or scientific basis, pointing out that the mummies that will be exhibited in the Museum of Civilization do not have any stirring.
Dr. Zahi Hawass added, through a telephone conversation with journalist Amr Abdel Hamid on the "Public Opinion" program broadcast on the "TeN" channel, today, Tuesday, that the display of mummies in the Museum of Civilization glorifies Egypt, its greatness and its civilization, far from insulting the mummies or their antiquities.
He explained that Dr. Ahmed Karima’s talk is a "media bang" and the exploitation of religion for the sake of an unscientific opinion is a mistake and I do not respect that, stressing that mummies glorify kings, through mummification operations, and the whole history of kings
