Vikings man .. Did the series The Simpsons predict the storming of Congress?
Some fans and followers of the cartoon "The Simpsons" see similarities between the extremist riots and the storming of Congress in Washington on Wednesday, and the final episode of the popular series.
According to Sky News, the 31st annual episode of the animated series, which was broadcast on November 1 with the title "Terrifying Tree House", filmed a terrifying scene as fires raged across Springfield, the birthplace of the Simpsons, along with Upside down vehicles and shattered windows.
The photos bear a striking resemblance to the rioters supporting US President Donald Trump who stormed the Congress building last Wednesday, killing 5 people, including a policeman, who died Friday, and forcing lawmakers to take cover and hide in their offices.
One fan wrote on Twitter: "Once again, The Simpsons has seen it already." Another wrote "Another Predictive Episode of The Simpsons!"
A number of fans of the series published side-by-side comparison photos of a Trump supporter riot who was in a Vikings uniform to take pictures in the Senate hall, which were very similar to a character in an episode of The Simpsons, where the character stood above the Congress building and was raising the flag American.
This is not the first time that The Simpsons appears to be a step ahead of history.
It seems that the show, which lasted for more than 30 years, succeeded in anticipating several developments, starting with the Corona virus and the killer wasps, in an episode entitled "Restricted Marge" from the episodes of the fourth season, and the arrival of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States, as in the episode "Bart in Future "in the eleventh season.
