In an incident that sparked the interest of newspapers and social media, the authorities in Bulgaria implicated a criminal gang who used a forged passport bearing the picture of the famous American actor Sylvester Stallone.
Prosecutors said the gang used the image of Hollywood star Stallone to promote its ability to forge documents to potential clients.
Four members of the gang were charged with forgery, while others were charged with other crimes.
The security forces found a forged passport, which gives the hero of the movie "Rocky" Bulgarian citizenship, during a search of the house of a gang member in Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria.
The Attorney General's office in Bulgaria published a photo of the fake Stallone passport on its website.
But the image of the movie star, who is of Italian origins, exposed the gang and made it evil in its work, as he appeared in it with all eyebrows and open his mouth, and he did not look at the camera directly, in contradiction to European standards for passport photos.
The matter aroused the ridicule of the pioneers of the communication sites, who wondered how a gang neglected this obvious matter in the photographs of the supporting documents.
The inspection was part of a police operation conducted earlier this week in several Bulgarian regions with the participation of American security, and with the assistance of the European Police (Europol), the law enforcement agency in the continent.
During the operation, illegal presses and documents were found, as well as large quantities of professionally counterfeit notes of $ 100 and € 50 bills.
