Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Souza was infected with the new Corona virus, "Covid-19", according to what was reported by AFP.
The Portuguese president had entered quarantine after coming into contact with a person infected with the emerging coronavirus.
In a statement released by his office, he said that the contact was with a member of the "Casa Civil" group, a body of professionals who provide advisory services to the president.
It is reported that the Portuguese president is waiting to vote in the presidential elections scheduled for January 24.
And Portuguese Health Minister Marta Temido announced that Portugal will provide 22 million doses of Corona virus vaccines to cover the entire population of the total supplies requested by the European Union.
