Israel appoints Gilad Ardan as new ambassador to America: I will work to strengthen the alliance between the two countries
The new Israeli ambassador to the United States, Gilad Ardan, who replaced the former ambassador, Ron Dermer, confirmed, Thursday evening, that he will work to strengthen the alliance and cooperation between the two countries in many areas, one day after the inauguration of US President Joe Biden.
"I have just finished my first working meeting with our diplomatic team at the Israeli embassy in the United States, and we will work to strengthen the alliance between the two countries," Ardan said, according to the Palestinian Ma'an News Agency.
And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that his country was preparing to strengthen the alliance between Tel Aviv and Washington moments after Biden was sworn in yesterday.
Erdan held the position of Israel's envoy to the United Nations, to be the best fit for Darmer, who is considered Netanyahu's closest advisor and who has served as Israel's ambassador to America since 2014.
