An environmental study warns of a mass extinction of humanity due to Corona: a dark future

It seems that our world has already reached its end, this is what a global environmental study warned of, confirming that humanity is on its way to a mass extinction, in a very dark future for planet Earth, with what the planet is currently suffering from the outbreak of the new Corona epidemic.

An environmental study warns of a mass extinction of humanity due to Corona: a dark future

The study consists of 150 other studies collected by a team of international scientists, on various aspects of the natural world that have already begun to deteriorate rapidly, according to the British newspaper, "Metro".

In the global scientific report published this week, international scientists said that the scale of threats to the biosphere and all forms of life, including humanity, is in fact so great that it is difficult to understand even for informed experts.

Global environmental scientist, Corey Bradshaw, from Flinders University in Australia explained that there is a continuous erosion in civilization, and stopping the loss of biodiversity is not near nor is it among the priorities of any country, as it lags far behind other concerns, such as employment, health care or economic growth. Or a stable currency.

The biggest problem that scientists have highlighted is that the economic and political systems around the planet revolve around unsustainable human consumption and population growth that overwhelms everything else.

The study indicated, that although humans began to disrupt biological diversity about 11 thousand years ago, with the invention of agriculture, this issue has accelerated, even after understanding its damages in the past few centuries, as the world population has doubled since 1970, and it is expected To reach 10 billion by the end of this century.

The study stated, that the increase in mankind and subsequent demands on the limited resources of the earth; It leads to one result, "the loss of biodiversity and the consumption of nature, land and animals," indicating that the World Economic Forum has already recognized biodiversity loss and considers it one of the biggest threats to the global economy.

And she added, that the coming period is the worst in terms of global climate change and biodiversity loss, and there is a huge environmental surplus represented in the increasing use of fossil fuels, adding, “These types of suitable fuels allowed us to separate human demand from biological regeneration, at 85 percent of commercial energy, 65 percent is fiber, and most plastics are now produced from fossil fuels.

In the long term, there is an appalling future of mass extinction, deteriorating health, and disruptions to climate change, including mass migrations, in addition to resource struggles, according to the study.
