164 malicious apps threaten Android users
Google has urged Android fans to check the applications installed on their smartphones immediately, after discovering 164 dangerous applications that fill the devices with unstoppable and very annoying ad programs.
According to the British newspaper "express", the cyber security team at Satori Threat Intelligence discovered these new malicious applications that generate huge revenues for its developers by slowing down smartphones by launching their annoying attack and pushing a lot of ads even if the phone was locked.
The security team says: "The applications are designed to look like popular applications from trusted developers, and it is the most common way to trick Android users into downloading these harmful applications."
Satori Threat Intelligence stated that this technology clearly worked as about 10 million Android smartphone users were tricked into downloading fake applications on their phones, so as soon as someone downloads the app from the Google Play Store, they will be bombarded with a barrage of unexpected ads. Immediately.
These malicious apps slow down your smartphone, track your movements, and deprive legitimate websites of generating revenue.
Google has removed all the violating applications from its online store, but unfortunately the American technology giant does not have the ability to delete these offensive applications from the phones installed on them, which amount to about 10 million devices, and this step can only be done by the owners of these phones.
