Iranian Army Chief of Staff: Ruthless revenge awaits the perpetrators of the assassination of the nuclear scientist and those behind them
The Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Army, Major General Muhammad Bagheri, stressed that "harsh revenge" awaits the perpetrators of the murder of the scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and those behind them.
The Iranian Chief of Staff stated that "the responsibility for assassinating the scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh rests with terrorists who are linked to global arrogance and the Israeli entity."
"Tehran will not hesitate to pursue and punish those responsible for the assassination of the scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh," he stressed.
He stated that "the scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was able to increase Iran's defense capabilities to a good stage of deterrence."
The Iranian Chief of Staff continued, saying that the enemy must realize that the path that Fakhrizadeh started will never stop.
He indicated that the assassination of Fakhrizadeh dealt a major blow to the Iranian defense establishment.
The Iranian Ministry of Defense confirmed the killing of the head of the Research and Technology Center in the ministry, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, in an assassination operation, which it described as "terrorist."
In a statement, the Ministry of Defense stated that "armed terrorist elements attacked a car carrying Mohsen Fakhri Zadeh, head of the Research and Technology Center at the Ministry of Defense, on Friday afternoon."
She pointed out that "during the clash between his security team and the terrorists, Mr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, and unfortunately the medical team did not succeed in reviving him."
