Canadian media: Police are dealing with a hostage-taking operation in Montreal
On Friday, Canadian police said they are currently dealing with a hostage-taking case in Montreal.
The Canadian police stated, in coverage by the Canadian "CBC" network, that they are dealing with a case of hostage taking in a building on St. Laurent Boulevard in the "Mile End" neighborhood.
Pictures from the scene showed several heavily armed Montreal police officers.
The pictures also show dozens of people on the roof of a red brick building, and the door that opens to the roof is fortified from the outside with large objects.
And Canadian police demanded the need to avoid the surrounding area.
Sources stated that there are currently no casualties or injuries as a result of that operation.
And Canadian police promised to provide more details in case events develop.
