Breaking news: London: Johnson undergoes self-quarantine after coming into contact with a Corona patient

The British Prime Minister's Office, Boris Johnson, reported that he had entered self-quarantine after coming into contact with a person who had tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Johnson's office stated, in a statement issued on Sunday evening, that the National Health Authority in England addressed a request to the Prime Minister after it was found that he had had contact with a person who had undergone a positive test for the emerging coronavirus.

The statement said Johnson would "deliver work from Downing Street, including managing government measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic."

Johnson's office stressed, however, that "the prime minister is in good health and has no symptoms of COVID-19."

It is worth noting that Johnson had previously been infected with the Coronavirus, which was announced on March 27, which led to a tangible deterioration in his health at that time.

Johnson, the father of 4 adult children from his ex-wife, was transferred to St Thomas' Hospital in London on April 5 and spent a week there, including several days in the intensive care unit, only to return on April 27 to his duties as prime minister.

Britain is the seventh country in the world in terms of the number of recorded infections with the Coronavirus, with about 1.369 million cases, and the fifth in terms of the death toll from the pandemic, with 51,934 cases.
