Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen leaves hospital after recovering from illness
Austrian President Alexander van der Beilen left the hospital today after recovering from a health condition that lasted for several days after falling into his home, and sources in the "Hofburg" presidential palace said on Thursday that the president will resume his work from his office at home.
The sources added that the president - upon leaving the hospital - thanked the doctors and nursing staff in the hospital for their efforts in speeding up his recovery, and the sources indicated that the president will spend the recovery period at home and practice his work from there.
The Austrian president was transferred to Vienna General Hospital last Saturday after falling into the house and injuring a painful pelvis.
