Armenia arrests former head of the National Security Agency
Armenian authorities arrested Artur Vanitsyan, former head of the National Security Service and leader of the "Fatherland" party, today, Saturday.
Artur Vanitsyan was arrested after being summoned to the Investigation Branch of the National Security Agency. Accused of attempting to usurp power and preparing to assassinate the Prime Minister, Nikole Pashinyan. During the arrest, illegal searches were carried out in the apartment of Vanitzian's parents, as well as at the headquarters of the "Fatherland" party.
