"Apple" drank the bitterness of war .. Reducing the production of the "cheap" iPhone by 20%
In the midst of the raging war between Russia and Ukraine, many companies began to review their production and expansionist policies.
Apple is preparing for its longest winning streak this year. After a report that the "iPhone" maker is cutting production of its inexpensive smartphone by a fifth amid declining demand for consumer electronics.
After 9 consecutive sessions of gains, the stock fell by 2%, in pre-market trading in New York, bringing the stock back away from erasing its full losses over the last 12 months.
This comes as Apple plans to cut production of iPhone SE phones by about 20% in the next quarter compared to its original plan due to indications that demand for consumer electronics has been affected by the war in Ukraine and high inflation, according to Bloomberg.
Sources told the US agency that "Apple" told several suppliers that it cut production orders by 2 million to 3 million units during the quarter.
This comes as Apple this month updated its iPhone SE production line for the first time since 2020 and added support for the fifth generation network, perhaps in an attempt to convince consumers who have old iPhones to upgrade and attract new users from the competing Android system.
Not only that, the company also reduced orders for its AirPods by more than 10 million units for 2022, according to a Nikkei report.
Since its launch in 2016, AirPoss have become the world's best-selling wireless headphones, helping Apple capture more than 25 percent of the global market share, according to research firm Counterpoint.
Some Apple suppliers also fell, with Qorvo dropping 2.4% in the primary market and Varta AG dropping 3.4% in Frankfurt after the Nikkei report.
iPhone SE specifications
And in March, Apple announced the launch of the fastest and cheapest iPhone with 5G technology support during the Peek Performance Conference.
The American company confirmed that the third generation of the iPhone SE for 2022 depends on the Apple A15 Bionic processor, which is used in the more expensive iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro smartphones.
Apple has called its new device “the new iPhone SE”, and there are no differences in the external design from the iPhone SE from 2020, which is based in its design on the iPhone 8 with a 4.7-inch screen and relatively thick edges and a Home button built in with Apple ID Touch ID is on the bottom side.
Apple explained that the new iPhone SE is replete with the A15 Bionic processor, and therefore it gives the new Apple phone the same performance as the luxury model iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, in addition to the availability of the fifth generation technology modem for mobile telephony 5G, which is compatible with Sub-6 networks.
The American company confirmed that the new iPhone SE phone has a longer battery life depending on the new processor, with the addition of some new features to the camera such as Deep Fusion technology for more image clarity, and the new iPhone SE is scheduled to be launched at a cost of 429 US dollars.

On March 8, Apple revealed during its virtual conference for 2022 under the name "Peak Performance" most of the details related to the new low-cost iPhone.
The event witnessed the unveiling of 6 major devices and products, namely the new iPhone SE, the new generation iPad Air, and the latest Mac devices, the Mac Studio, along with the all-new Studio Display screen.
And the new iPhone is the SE 3 phone, through which Apple seeks to attract users of Android systems, because it will provide it with modern systems, while providing it at a low cost.
Expectations indicated that Apple will start shipping the phone with a number ranging between 25 million and 30 million units during the current year 2022.
