Ford Motor Company recalled a number of its Ford Explorer cars from 2016 to 2019. Due to a defect in installing the cars' roof rails.
The company indicated that the roof stabilizer bars could loosen while driving, causing a danger to other cars on the road.
The company, which is the second largest car manufacturer in the United States, said, “The recall process includes the Explorer model categories. Including the base class and the XLT series, as well as the Explorer Interceptor and the Explorer Sport.
The number of cars covered by the plan is 620,483 cars in the United States and its territories. And 36,419 cars in Canada and 4,260 cars in Mexico.
Ford has told distributors and dealerships to fix recalled vehicle roofs with zip-up plastic nails. Car owners will be informed of the repair dates as of June 28
