German police raid criminal gangs in Berlin and Brandenburg
Police said hundreds of their men and special forces personnel raided more than 20 locations in Berlin and Brandenburg on Thursday as part of an investigation into organized crime, arms and drug trafficking and extortion.
She added that the raid was the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Criminal Police Department and the tax investigation authorities in the two cities after a clash between criminal gangs last November.
Der Spiegel magazine reported that two people had been arrested, adding that the investigation was focusing on a member of a gang named Ramo.
