Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan created an account for him on the "Telegram" application, as part of the support campaigns demanding to stop using WhatsApp due to privacy conditions.
The media office of the Turkish president said that Erdogan joined the ranks of "Telegram" users, and gained about 25 thousand followers.
Erdogan published his first photo on his account, with a cat in the forefront, accompanied by other officials.
This came against the background of the WhatsApp administration’s announcement that it had signed a usage agreement, in which it added an item on transferring users ’personal data to“ Facebook ”that includes this application, in order to analyze their preferences and habits in the interest of the other platforms of the company.
This action sparked anger and resentment among WhatsApp users all over the world, as they began to cancel their registration on this platform, and moved to other social networking applications, especially Telegram.
