Brazil crush Peru 4-0 in Copa America
Brazil scored an early goal to pave the way for an easy 4-0 victory over Peru in the Copa America soccer tournament at dawn today, Friday.
Defending champions Brazil became the first team to win their first two matches in the tournament and top Group B with six points, two points ahead of Colombia, who drew 0-0 with Venezuela last night as well.
Brazil took the lead after 12 minutes when Alex Sandro turned Gabriel Jesus' pass into the net from close range.
Neymar got a penalty, but the video assistant referee intervened to cancel it, before the Paris Saint-Germain player scored in the middle of the second half to double the host's lead.
Substitute Everton Ribeiro made the score 3-0 in the 89th minute after a pass from Richarlison, who finished the goals in stoppage time.
