New York Fashion Week without the big names in the fashion world .. Know the story
The new Corona virus pandemic has cast a shadow over New York Fashion Week, as most of the big names in the fashion world are absent from this year’s fashion week, while Tom Ford will be present for the closing of the show season on the evening of February 17, and the American Fashion Guild recommended the adoption of an electronic version of the week New York fashion, but New York can hold shows, unlike Paris Fashion Week, which banned the organization of shows open to the public, according to the UAE's Al Ain website.
However, according to the recommendations of the American Fashion Guild, almost all of the new collections will be presented exclusively online, through the "Runway 360" platform previously launched by the Syndicate, but some designers preferred to hold their shows in attendance with the number of attendees, among them Jason Wu on February 14 and Rebecca Minkov on February 16.
This season, the American Fashion Guild has released a "New American Collections Calendar" that includes all designers working in the United States, even those who choose to display their collections after February 17, including outside the United States.
Outside the four days of the event, the Carolina Herrera collection can be expected on February 22, Coach on the 23rd, and Oscar de la Renta on March 2, and yet some of the big names in the fashion world remain absent from the program so far, such as Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger, Pierre Moss, and Tory Burch, whose shows were pivotal highlights of New York Fashion Week.
