After a three-year hiatus ... the first Egyptian passenger plane took off to Qatar

On Monday morning, the first passenger plane belonging to "EgyptAir" took off from Cairo airport, heading to Doha airport, at the start of the resumption of air traffic between Egypt and Qatar after it had stopped since mid-2017, in implementation of the decision of the Al-Ula summit recently reached between the Arab Quartet and Qatar.

According to "Al-Bayan" newspaper, informed sources at Cairo Airport indicated that the plane was carrying 38 passengers, and that it is scheduled to return to Cairo with 91 passengers on board.


The sources stated that Qatar Airways has postponed the resumption of its flights to Cairo, which was scheduled for today, while EgyptAir canceled its flight to Qatar scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, due to the decrease in the number of passengers.


The sources predicted that this low rate of passengers will continue during the coming period, provided that the situation will improve during the holidays and holidays.
