Nour El Sherbini tops the world squash rankings for the second month in a row

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) revealed the new world ranking for women in December, as the Egyptian champion Nour El Sherbiny continued to lead the ranking after returning for the first time in November since she lost it in December 2018, to regain her lead after an absence of 23 consecutive months, after She was crowned recently in the Egypt International Squash Championship, which was held under the foot of the Pyramids of Giza, last October.

Nouran Gohar, the Wadi Degla player, kept the second place behind Nour El Sherbiny, and in the third place Nour El-Tayeb, the Heliopolis player, finished fourth, and French Camille Serem ranked fourth.


The young champion Hania Al-Hamami also maintained the fifth place, after reaching the semi-finals of the Egypt International Squash Championship and beating Camille Serem.


Egyptian champion Salma Hany advanced to the tenth place, to include the top 10 classification, five players from Egypt.


Nour El-Sherbiny is the youngest player in the world to win the World Junior Championships, so in 2009 Nour El-Sherbiny won the World Junior Championships in India for the under-19s, and won the title of the youngest player in the world to win a championship at the age of 13 years.


Nour El-Sherbiny won the World Championship 4 times, first in 2015, then 2016, respectively, before last year she was crowned the third title in March, and in November with the fourth title at the start of the new season.
